**Daniele Duini**
*October 3, 1971 – January 13, 2025*
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniele Duini, beloved husband and father, who died on January 13, 2025, at the age of 53 in Ottawa, Canada, after a heartbreaking journey with Young Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born in Florence, Italy, on October 3, 1971, Daniele was a man whose love for family, food, and laughter enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. His joyful spirit and great sense of humour were infectious, and his hearty laugh could light up any room. As a husband to Erin and Babbo (father) to Niccolò, Giorgia, and Mattia, he filled their lives with warmth and love.
Daniele’s passion for life was evident in everything he did. Whether he was sharing a meal with loved ones or enjoying time with family, his presence was one of genuine love and joy. He had an ability to make people feel welcome and valued, and he leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Daniele is survived by his wife Erin, his children Niccolò, Giorgia, and Mattia, and a circle of friends and extended family, in Canada and in Italy, who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Daniele’s life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at noon at St. Joseph’s Church, 174 Wilbrod Street, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate donations to Lorenzo’s House or to Rare Dementia Support Canada, to support other families living with young onset dementia.
