Daniel Belanger, 57, of Stanstead passed away on Monday, June 2nd, after a very courageous battle. He was born in Stanstead, QC on December 20th 1956, son of the late Evelyn (Winter) and Eugene Belanger. Predeceased by his sisters Monique (Brad Dudley), Suzanne, and his brothers Marc, Denis. He was an amazing father to Emma (Nasser) and Gregory (Angela). He also leaves to mourn his grandson Zachary and his step grandchildren Jacob, Joey-Rejeanne, Alexander and Anderson. His nephews Jonathan Dudley (Annie) Travis Dudley (Pattie) and his godchild April Boutin (Steve). Daniel will be sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends. His interests varied widely from being a NASCAR fan to a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He could frequently be found and involved in many community activities, and had a special place in his heart for children. Visitation in the prescence of his ashes will be held a Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead on Friday, June 6th from 7 to 9 p.m. the funeral will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 11:30 am. In the Sacré-Coeur Catholic Church. A gathering of friends will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Maple Street, Stanstead. Donations can be made in his name to the Moonlighters Relay for Life Team, in which he was a beloved member. Checks must be payable to the Canadian Cancer Society.
