Casey and family
My sympathy to your family
Clem passed away peacefully on February 29th, 2024 at the Hôtel-Dieu in Sherbrooke, Québec at the age of 94. She was the fourth of eleven children of the late Wilbridge and Angeline Maclure. Clem was predeceased by her late husband George Davis and her son Paul Davis (Ashley Bradford). Clem is survived by her children Kathleen (Fletcher), Patrick (Valentine), Ed, Marcella (Alan), Bill (Wendy), Scott (Debbie), Jack (Casey). She is also survived by her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as mama, mamère and grandmama: Amanda, Krista, Caitlyn, John (Jack), Luke, Cole, Jake, Amelia, Madelaine, Lillian, Elliott, George, Joe and her great grandchildren: Émile, Maddix, Brock, Bella.
Known for her strong spirited character, Clem will be incredibly missed. Outside of her immediate children, Clem was a second mom to many and spent most if not all her life taking care of others, the thing that brought her the most joy. Clem was an incredible cook, and her door was always open with a guaranteed seat at the table for a delicious home cooked meal. Clem was an avid Tom Jones fan. Us kids had an uncle we never knew but could always see his picture and hear his music playing in the house. She took on each new phase of her life with incredible dignity and pride, so we know that she has taken this final step with the same level of grace.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff at the Hôtel-Dieu for taking such wonderful care of mom. The family also wishes to thank the staff, specifically Mélanie at Hôtellerie Beaucéjour for their care and friendship to mom for the last 4 years. They also wish to thank Eileen Mouldy for being mom’s friend and trusty companion.
A service will take place at St. Patrick’s church, located at 20 Gordon Street, Sherbrooke QC on Saturday March 9th at 11am. Interment will take place at St. Michel cemetery located at 635 rue St-Michel immediately after the service. A celebration of Clem’s life will be followed at the A.N.A.F #318 (the Hut) located at 300 St. Francis Street, Sherbrooke QC from 1pm-5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St.Patrick's church would be appreciated.
