Ching-Hui Tsai

May 15, 1932 - June 23, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ching-Hui Tsai, MD, FRCP (C) at the age of 85 in Gatineau, Quebec. He is mourned by his loving wife of 52 years, Michele, his children, Lucie (Eric) and Laurent and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Olivier.

He retired in 2002 after a long and rewarding career as a hematologist-oncologist.

Visitations will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Coopérative Funéraire de l'Outaouais, located at 95, boul. Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau (Hull sector).

J'ai ete en contact avec Dr Tsai ayant travaille au CH de Gatineau pendant plus de 20 ans. J'en garde le souvenir d'un homme d'une grande gentillesse. Mes sympathies a sa famille.

Famille de Dr Tsai

Je garderai toujours en mémoire le souvenir de ce médecin pour sa grande gentillesse, sa disponibilité, sa simplicité. J'ai eu le Bonheur de connaitre Dr Tsai dans le cadre de mon travail aux archives de l'hôpital de Gatineau.

À Michèle et à toute la famille

Je suis très reconnaissant pour les excellents soins que j'ai reçus de la part du Dr. Tsai en 1988 pour traiter un cancer. C'était un médecin très dévoué et très humain.

Après mon premier traitement de chimiothérapie, j'ai fait une réaction allergique à l'un des médicaments. J'ai dû passer la nuit sous observation à l'urgence. Aux petites heures du matin, j'ai eu la surprise de voir le Dr. Tsai à mon chevet car il était venu voir comment je me portais!

Nous avons toujours été heureux de revoir le Dr Tsai et Michèle à diverses occasions au fil des années.
