September 29, 1925 – January 6, 2017

Chet Perkins, formerly of Danville, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 with family by his side at the Wales Home, Richmond, Quebec. He was 91 years of age.
Beloved husband for 58 years of the late Joan (née Webb). “Little” brother to the late Alfred (late Joyce MacIntosh), and Russell (late Margaret Atyeo) of Kingston, ON. He will be forever missed by his four loving children – Ken (Darlene Blades) of Bear River, NS, Ruth (Wayne Lucas) of Walterboro, SC, James (Shana Saunders) of Kanata, ON, and Esther (Doug Peters) of Pointe-Claire, QC, his 14 precious grandchildren – Candi (Ralf), Abram, Hannah, John, Sarah (Jon), Matthew, Elizabeth, Laura, Jessica (Justin), Justin (Kelsee), Jenna, Jacob, Corabella and Alice, as well as 4 great-grandchildren - Victoria, Noah, Marley, and Aurora.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 6:30-9:00 PM, and on Friday, January 13, from 9-11 AM at the Cass Funeral Home, Richmond (295 Rue Principale S, Richmond).  The funeral service will be at the Wales Home (506 Rte 243 N, Richmond, QC) at 2 PM. Interment will be at a later date at the Danville Cemetery.  

Chet – Dad – Grandpa – was known and loved by so many people. His deep Christian faith, character, wisdom and positive disposition gained him great respect and influence. All who were blessed to know him will continue to be inspired, encouraged and challenged to do more, complain less, and laugh until the tears flow.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Wales Home for the exceptional care and love they showed Chet. He thoroughly enjoyed life at the Wales Home, and we are so grateful.
