It is with great sadness that we the family of Anne Bonnett announce her passing at the age of 95 in her home, Ottawa, Ontario on February 3, 2018. We will miss her dearly.
Born in St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1922, she moved to Ottawa in 1966 with her husband Glen (deceased). Throughout her life she was involved in many volunteer organizations, and was well known for her kindness and generosity.
She is survived by her daughter, Loreen O’Byrne, son-in-law Michael O’Byrne and grandsons Ryan and Adam O’Byrne, daughter-in-law Marilyn Bonnett, and grandchildren Charles, Gilles, Richard and Ginette Grenier. She is predeceased by her son Edward Bonnett.
Anne is also survived by her sister, Theresa Sinkwich, along with her brothers Lawrence Rougeau (Patricia) and Richard Rougeau. She is predeceased by her brothers Edward and Paul Rougeau.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa West, 2055 Robertson Road, Ottawa from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m in the Trinity Room.
Anne will be interred at a later date alongside her beloved husband Glen during a private ceremony at Pinecrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to her favourite charity, The Ottawa Humane Society, would be appreciated.
