MATHESON, Allan

Formerly of Gould and Sherbrooke, Allan passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital, Ottawa, Saturday, January 14th, 2012, in his 89th year. Allan will be forever missed and remembered by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene (Wintle), and by his dear children; Jeff (Cynthia Denault), Marlene (Randall Budd), Bonnie (Jeff Goodsell), David, Bruce (Kathy McAuley) and Brian (Robyn Fleming). Pre-deceased by his dear son Lorne ( August, 2011 ) and also by his brothers John, Harold and Gordon. Allan also leaves to mourn eleven grandchildren, a great-grandson, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), QC, J1M 1T9, (819) 564-1750, visitation will be held Friday, January 20th, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held Saturday, January 21st, at 11 a.m., Plymouth Trinity United Church, 380 Dufferin Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 4M7, followed by a private, immediate family interment at Malvern Cemetery. Donations to the charity or organization of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
