Paul Andre Cousineau
Know that you are in my thoughts.
Your mom was a very special woman.
She will be missed my many.
Yvette Cousineau (June 30, 1936 - January 6, 2025)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Yvette Cousineau (née Tousignant), who left us on January 6, 2025 at the age of 88.
To all who had the privilege of knowing her, her resounding impact leaves an indelible mark: the importance of family and friends, of coming together under a climate of unconditional love, the power of humour and laughter, and being thankful for what we have. Humble, genuine and of remarkable strength, she lived her life and surmounted obstacles with exemplary courage and resilience. Today, it’s our turn to send her off with her signature salutation: “Bye, bye. Love you!”
Beloved mother of Denis (Hélène Lecours), Paul (John Lister), Angèle and Renald (Nathalie Bélanger), grandmother of Francis (Marie-Thérèse Cazelais), Isabelle (Kyle Ratthe), Daphné (Étienne Raby), Sandrine and Tristan (Emilie Rose Bastien), Yvette will also be missed by surviving brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at the Lac Beauchamp pavilion of the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais (750 Maloney Boulevard E, Gatineau, Qc, J8P 1G4). Friends and family are welcome to attend and pay their respects from 1:30 p.m. onwards. The celebration will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by light refreshments at 3:00 p.m. It will also be possible to view the ceremony, live or by replay, by following the link: https://fweb.tv/169304 .
In case of a technical problem during the live webcast, it will be possible to view the replay at a later time. The family thanks you for your love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers and to honour Yvette’s courage and resilience as she battled cancer several times, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
