SHARPE, Veronica

Veronica Shirley Sharpe passed away in Shawville, QC, on Tuesday, October 25.

Daughter of Thomas Sandford Sharpe and Kathleen Mary Sharpe (born Francis), she was born in Gweru, Zimbabwe. She was the loving and devoted mother of Glynis (Simon) and Alexandre.

Cherished and proud grandmother of Caleb.

Veronica is survived by her siblings Jimmy (Dorothy), Eileen (Robert), Sybil (George) and Thomas (Tommy). She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Ronald and sister Lorraine. She leaves behind her much-loved nephews and nieces.

She spent the most part of her life traveling until she officially settled in Aylmer, QC. In her leisure time she enjoyed yoga, reading, walking, ball room dancing and nature. She had a loving heart and was always available to help.

Her beautiful smile could light up any room. She lived her life with passion, optimism, humour and great love of her family and many wonderful friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A special thank you to the Long-Term Care Home, CHSLD of Pontiac staff for their care and compassion.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Coopérative Funéraires de l'Outaouais, 95 Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, on Saturday November 12, 2022, at 10am.

The family will receive friends from 9:15am, till the Celebration begins.

For those who wish to do so, donations can be made towards a memorial park bench located in the National Capital region in her honour. A donation box for the bench will be available at the Celebration on Saturday.
