Nancy
Dear Nancy my deepest condolences on the passing of your mom she was a sweetheart and a great lady rest in peace Val
Our loving and beloved Mum passed away late Monday night, January 17, 2022 at the CHSLD Wales in Cleveland, QC, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Art Wright, parents William and Mary Lavallee, sisters Irma (late Bill Barnett), Edie (late Gerry Coates), Dorie (late Paul Allard), brother Ivan Lavallee (late Brenda MacPherson), and nephew Stephen Barnett (Dia Papangeli). Left to mourn are daughters Mary Wright (exJaworski) and Nancy Wright (exBarker), grandchildren Willy Wright Barker and Julia Jane Jaworski, greatgrandchild Silas Loubier-Barker, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Bromptonville, QC, Mum lived in Sherbrooke (with summers in Woodland Bay and North Hatley) for most of her life. She was a graduate of O’Sullivan’s Business College and worked at the Quebec Central Railway during WWII, also volunteering in war efforts and teaching Sunday school. Mum married Art Wright in 1945, raised 2 daughters, and was active in the community (IODE, Sherbrooke Hospital, Snowshoe Club, YW-MCA, Trinity United Church, Plymouth-Trinity, and many others). She later re-entered the workforce as the nursing station secretary at AGRHS. Mum was artistic, musical, smart, thoughtful, kind, and beautiful. A wonderful homemaker, she was a loving and beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, friend, and colleague. Mum lived a full and happy life.
We mourn her passing, and will always hold her memory dear.
Special thanks to the Wales for the kind and considerate care given to Mum, and to the Rev.
