ROSOVE, Susan Janet

1946 - 2024

On July 24th, 2024, Susan Janet Rosove, age 78, passed away peacefully in her Ottawa home with her two sons near by.

Our mom was an only child who was born in Winnipeg on January 30th, 1946.

Her parents Jean and John “Jack” Whyte moved their small family to Ontario early on in her life and raised her in the suburbs of Toronto.

She earned an English degree from McMaster University, then chose a career in nursing, and eventually became a nursing teacher - a position she proudly held until she gave birth to her first child, Marc in 1979.

Probably the toughest person we’ll ever know, with an incredible threshold for pain, Mom was also one of the most caring individuals you ever would have met.

She had a true and pure love for children and volunteered countless hours working with them within the Scouting community.

She is survived by her two sons Marc (Kimberly) and Jay (Nicole), and four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ethan, Sidney and Rio.

She loved her kids and grandkids dearly and would have done anything for them.
While we had known the end was near for some time we are still devastated by her now-permanent absence from our lives - but we are also grateful she is no longer in pain.

Words cannot describe how much we love Mom and how much we miss her already.

Mom is gone now but we will never forget her, never stop loving her.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the healthcare professionals who helped us and our mother through this difficult journey.

Susan Janet Rosove (January 30, 1946 - July 24, 2024). May she rest in peace.
