JOHNSTON, Shirley (nee Pike)

Died on February 8th, 2009 at the CHSLD Foyer Richmond at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband George Johnston. Shirley is survived by her children William, Melvin and Pauline and is predeceased by her daughter Margaret. Dear grandmother of Marie, Brenda, Tanya, David and Andrea. Daughter of the late Lisle Pike and the late Eleanor Griffith. Shirley is pre-deceased by her sister Noreen (late Wilbur Wiggins), and brothers Elton (late Miriam), Lorne (late Patricia) and Ralph (Sylvia). Left to mourn are her brothers-in-law Robert Johnston (late Rheta) and Ivan Johnston (Fran and the late Gwen). Also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law Ruth (late Gerald French) and brother-in-law Ernest (late Irma). At Shirley’s request, cremation was held, to be followed by a graveside service in the Melbourne Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
