1931-2015 Passed away at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu on April 12th, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Glennis Buckland. Predeceased by his cherished son Stephen, brother to Kathy (Leslie Newland) and Norma Canning. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Bassett, his mother Edith Bassett and father Kenneth Edward Bassett. Fluff leaves to mourn his beloved nieces and nephews, Jamie Newland, Jenny Newland (Edward Watson), Derek, Shawn, Christopher, Colin Canning and their spouses, Alan and Bev Sharman (their children: Wesley, Amy, Jared and their spouses), Brenda and Rodney Kent (their children : Randy, Christopher, Tina and the late Victoria), Debbie Ferguson (Robert), Barbara McGregor (Jerry), along with some grand nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 20015 at 1:00 pm at the Reedsville Cemetery, North Hatley. Rev Mead Baldwin officiating. Come share your memories and stories with family and friends at a reception immediately following at the North Hatley Legion. Thanks to the loving care Fluff received at the Wales Home as well as the wonderful care given by Dr. François Lamontagne and his staff at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu. Fluff was a long time volonteer fireman for the North Hatley Fire Department, a volonteer for the North Hatley meals on wheels and hew was also involeved in a number of community organizations.
