DAVIAU, Rollande

1949 - 2021

In loving memory of Rollande Daviau

July 18, 1949 -  April 30, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rollande Daviau (née Paul).

Her husband Ronald's dedication in caring for her as she increasingly struggled with dementia allowed Rollande an extra 3 years of quality life at home. Also contributing to making this possible were community home support services, their neighbor and Mélanie.

Rollande came from a large family of 16 and leaves behind her mother, many brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind 4 Bourgeois children from a previous marriage, namely Nicole (Azilda), Angèle (Kenora),  Richard (Sudbury) and Sylvie (Garson.). Rollande has 3 grand-daughters, Danielle, Keara & Mélanie and 3 grandsons, Mathieu, Jimmy & Derek.

A special wink from heaven to her many friends, especially Suzanne, Mme Pépin and Bep (in Holland).

Rolande was predeceased by her husband James "Jim" Nichol  (September 10, 2005). Much love to the Nichol's.

A big thank-you goes out to the "Angels in Scrubs" of the New Liskeard hospital where Rollande resided for the past 4 months.

Rollande was a fun lighthearted people person. In honour of Rollande, a "celebration of life" will be held at a later date. This event will be determined once a large gathering without masks is allowed after the covid pandemic. Everyone who touched her life will be welcomed and asked to bring their dancing shoes.
