Merlin and family

In my youth playing minor league hockey he was Mr. Alger. Years later at Dufferin Heights he was now Bob. Great times, good golf, cold beer and constant laughter. Great memories for me. My condolences to my friend Merlin and family and to Kathy and family. Rest in peace Mr. Bob.

To Kathleen Alger (Middleton) & extended families of Robert (Bob) Alger.

My wife, Bernice (McComb) & I are sorry to hear about the passing of Robert. I first meet him when I was delivering Allatt's Bakery bread, etc. to Bob's Dad & Mom in Rock Island. I got to know Bob when he was a Customs Officer & was pleased to see him whenever we crossed back & forth across the border between Quebec & Vermont. After that we moved from the Townships to Granby, Montreal, Toronto, St Paul, MN & finally retired to Naples, FL.
Bob did a lot for the Dufferin Heights Golf Club & worked there for several years after his retirement from Customs. It was always a delight to see Bob at Dufferin & have a short chat with him. He will be sadly missed by family & friends. May he rest in peace.
Alan & Bernice Suitor, Naples, FL.
