It is with deep sadness that we announce that
Mr. Raymond Montcalm
1964-2020
passed away on Tuesday March 3rd, 2020 in Gatineau, at the age of 55. He was the son of the late Gilbert Montcalm and the late Rolande Labelle. Loving brother of Pauline (deceased October 20th, 2010), Denise, Françoise, Gilbert (deceased June 17, 1975), Gavin, Jacques (Mitsi) and Roger (Murielle); his nieces and nephews : Charles, Samuel and Michelle (Pauline), Nicole, Mandy, Serena and Raymond (Denise), Angela, Scott and Michel (Françoise), Jessie, Samantha and Tyler (Gavin), Heidi, Iacob and Fabi (Jacques), Michael and Robert (Roger); his great-nieces and great-nephews : Owen, Aiden, Calvin, Glenn, Thomas, Des, Autumn, Tadhg, Jake, Payton, Edward, Charlotte, Eleanor, Dorothy, Nikolas, Marcus, Demitria, Colton, Tobin and Piper and his aunts and uncles : Jocelyne Dumouchel, Jean-Marc Labelle, Gerald Labelle and Colette Macfarlane.
Raymond will be remembered for his loving spirit and his generosity. He particularly loved spending quality time with family and friends. He spent the past few years making his mother’s life easier in her last years, for which his family is very grateful.
Ray was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed his many years playing and coaching the game. Ray also loved the outdoors; fishing, swimming, camping and nature walks were some of his favorite things to do. He loved interacting with his nieces and nephews enjoying the many questions young minds have. His knowledge of the Flora in the woods and parks was something he enjoyed sharing with anyone. Ray also had a love for Music, spending many nights playing his guitar for family and friends.
Loved dearly by family and friends, he will be missed by all, especially his recent love interest, Nancy.
A service will be held on March 13th, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS at 1369, La Vérendrye O. Blvd. in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences starting at 5 p.m.
