Ève et Martin
Je partage votre chagrin. Rachel a été essentielle à ma vie et elle savait donner si généreusement son amitié et son amour. Elle manquera à toutes et à tous.

A tree is planted
in memory of the deceased
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our dear mother, Rachel Gaudreau, on February 10, 2025 at the age of 88, at her home at the St-Louis housing cooperative, as she wished.
The youngest of a family of 10 children, she was preceded by her parents Louis Gaudreau and Vilda Bissonnette and her son Yves (4 years old). She is survived by her children Martin Lamont (Chantal Charreyron) and Ève Lamont, her grandchildren Jonathan Lamont (Justine Constant) and Gabryelle Lamont, her great-grandchildren Éloïse and Étienne, many dear friends including Louise Boivin and Lise Lebeau, her sister Denise Simoneau, her nephews and nieces as well as her many neighbours from the co-op. Throughout her life, Rachel has been active in the cooperative sector, in several feminist organizations and as a fervent separatist. While she leaves a huge void behind, Rachel gave us a life filled with knowledge, generosity, rejoicing and solidarity.
A celebration of her life will be held on March 15, 2025 at 10 am at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS located at 95, boul. Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (Hull sector). The family will receive condolences starting at 9:15 am.
