Lucille and family
So very sorry to hear of Pierre’s
passing in January. I know how devastating and how emotionally draining it is for you and your family. My very deepest condolences to you all.
Love from your friend
Monica Connolly.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pierre Rodolphe Proulx on January 25, 2025, at the age of 86. He left us peacefully, surrounded by God's grace and the love of his family. Born in Montreal on June 27, 1938, he was the beloved son of Joseph Octave and Gabrielle Proulx (née Montbriand).
He is survived by his cherished wife, Lucille (née Lussier), and their three children: Élaine (Pierre Wall), Sylvie (Dean Brinton), and Normand (Anick Henry). He also leaves behind his dear grandchildren: Alexandre, Éméric, Nicolas, Cassandra, and William, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister and brothers: Gabrielle (Gordon Van Camp), Normand, and François; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Léopold and Liliane Favreau, Jacques and Yvette Laberge; as well as his nephews: Richard Van Camp and Claude Favreau.
Everyone who knew Pierre remembers his deep love for his family. His unique sense of humour, dedication to teaching and research as a biochemist at the University of Ottawa, musical talents, and community involvement have left an everlasting mark on our hearts.
The family expresses its gratitude for the care and kindness provided by the staff of Cité Parkway Residence, the Civic Hospital, and La Maison de l'Est.
A memorial service will take place on April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Paroisse Saint-Gabriel, located at 55 Appleford Street, Gloucester. The family will receive condolences starting at 10:15 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service.
