Fournier, Pierre

FOURNIER, Pierre

1934 - 2024

In Loving Memory of Pierre Fournier: A Soaring Spirit in the Realms of Air Force and Communication. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pierre Fournier on November 29, 2024, at the age of 90. A gallant soul whose life was a tapestry of valor, wisdom, and a ceaseless pursuit of being a model father figure. Born in the tranquil embrace of the early 20th century, Pierre's journey began in the small town of Clermont, QC, and at the tender age of 18, enlisted in the Canadian Air Force, embarking on a career that would not only shape his destiny but also the fabric of global telecommunications. He will truly be missed.

He was the husband of the late Denyse Rivard and the son of the late Daniel Fournier and Marie-Julie Bélanger. He is survived by his children: Martin D. (Rita Elizabeth Montalvo) and Wendy; his grandchildren: Ashley, Martin Jr, Alyson, Lindsey, Sabrina and Julia; great-grandchildren: Xayden, Avry, Cori and Thea. He also leaves his brothers: Denis (Françoise), Roch (Gisèle) and George (Lise); his sisters: Doris (Yves) and Denise (late André), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

To respect his wishes, there will be no celebration.
