DOUPE, Oscar

1960 - 2022

Oscar Doupe, 62, of Thornloe, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022, surrounded by His wife and loved ones. Oscar grew up in New Liskeard and the surrounding area; He loved his family, friends, and his 13 grandkids so very much. Oscar had a passion for riding his bike with his friends and his beloved wife. They would spend hours going on long rides; he would often take his grandson with him on the rides. Oscar also had a love for fishing; he would spend hours fishing and camping with his son and family. He loved working in the garage working on many projects; if you wanted to find him, he was there with his son and his nephew Mike. Oscar will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Oscar Doupe was predeceased by his Granddaughter: Mackenzie. His father and mother: Overton & Doris Doupe. His siblings: Ida Doupe, Henry Doupe, and Margaret Gaboury.

Oscar requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Oscar’s loved one to join us in celebrating his amazing life, location, and date, will be announce at a later time.

I have now come to the end of the road; it was an amazing bike ride with all of my loved ones by my side. It's my time; the sun has set for me to take my final ride.

I want no tears in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free, I feel no pain, just know that I'm happy.

This is a new bike journey for me, and this one we all must take each must go alone, but you know me, I don't follow the rules. I have my nephew Pat Doupe with me so that we will ride together one final ride with pipes rambling and smoke burning. I will get us there on time to hug all our loved ones.

So please don't cry.

Miss me a little, but not for long

Not with your head bowed low; remember the love that we once shared.

Miss me a little, but let me go.

Remember my songs or the sound of my laugh; if you hear the tune that set me free, have a beer or glass of wine to celebrate me.

Just close your eyes, my beloved, and know I'll be what you need. If you feel my hand on your shoulder or hear my laugh, just know that it is me.

Miss me a little, but not for long

Remember the love that we once shared; it was eternal, and the bike rides we rode will be a memory forever.

Miss me a little, but let me go.

I want to hear laughter and bikes rumbling. I want you to gather together. Old friends and new share stories and memories of a hell of a life I lived; I know it was full, and I love you deeply, but I must go.

Miss me a little, but not for long

I will pick you up when your time comes, and we will take the last ride together, but don't rush.

I'll watch over you all from up here.

Miss me a little, but let me go.

Debbie and Family....

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Oscar. I always enjoyed the rides that I, along with many others, had taken with Oscar and Debbie over the past summer riding seasons. He will be missed by all who knew him. Ride on Oscar.
