VELOCE, Nicolino (Nick)

After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of Nicolino Veloce on August 1, 2017. Adoring and loving father to Giuliana Veloce, son of the late Guglielmo and Maria Nicola Veloce, dear brother to Giaconda (Paolo) Ranellucci, Maddalena (Saverio) Marzitelli, Giuseppe (Maria) Veloce, Antonio (Maria) Veloce and Lucia (Ambrogio) Podini. He will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He will remain in our hearts as a beautiful person. Nicolino had an abundance of friends whom he cherished and who will miss him deeply. A successful entrepreneur, an avid cyclist, soccer player and skier, he treasured the times he spent with his friends and always had time to enjoy good food and a bottle of wine while reminiscing about the day's bike ride. Enjoy your ride in heaven...we will miss you! Visitation at Residence Funeraire Notre Dame 9480 Rue Notre-Dame Est. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St Monica Church, 6405 Rue Terrebonne NDG. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Giuliana, Stephanie, la famille Veloce et les amis de Nick

Nos pensées et nos prières sont avec vous en ces moments difficiles. Nous sommes retenus a l'extérieur du pays. Nick était avant tout un père aimant et un rassembleur hors-pair que ce soit avec famille ou amis grace a son charisme légendaire. Il nous manque déjà grandement. La "piazza" ne sera plus la même en son absence. Que Dieu ait son âme.

Family

I am devastated to have learned of Nick’s untimely passing today from his nephew.We had lost touch since he sold the garage on Sherbrooke cr Benny.I enjoyed cycling with him and the Grey Sunoco bunch so many years ago and broke bread with him on several occasions.He was so happy to have had a child just after my wife and I finally had children.
My deepest sympathies to the family,friends and all who were somehow touched by his infectious enthusiasm for life,
