It is with regret that we inform you of the passing of Nabil Saikaly born in Zahlé, Lebanon. He passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by love. 

Nabil was predeceased by his father Ibrahim and his mother Georgette.

He leaves to mourn his two children, the mother of his children and his six grandchildren:.

He also leaves his brothers and his sister: Chawki, Souheila and Samir (late) as well as several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital, the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital and the Queensway Carleton Hospital where he took his last breath on a beautiful sunny spring afternoon.

Your expressions of sympathy can result in a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday April 9 at 10 am at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica on Sussex Drive. A light lunch will be served afterwards at the Cathedral. 

A special mass will be celebrated on Sunday April 7 at 11 am at Saints Peter And Paul Melkite Catholic Church for the Lebanese community wishing to attend.

As Nabil always said until the end: Everything is fine! Tout va bien!
