Mary Louise Brady Moore
I was very fortunate to know Lou very well. I will miss our long talks. She was a special person!
Mary Louise Moore, née Brady of Aylmer Quebec passed away on January 11th, 2022. She was born on February 27th,1949 to Patrick and Mary Elizabeth Brady in Perth, Ontario.
Mary Louise is survived by her husband Terry, her son Brent (Jacqueline) and her grandchildren Luc, Léa, Ben, Ève, and Emy all of whom she loved dearly. The eldest of 7 children, she is also survived by her siblings Patricia, Bonny (Kirk Godfrey), Theresa (Bob Bromley), John (Donna), Bill (Judy), and Barbara (Bill McKnight).
Mary Louise, or Lou as she was known to her friends and family, left her hometown of Perth relatively young making multiple stops across Ontario, even finding her way to British Columbia to pursue her nursing career, making many close friends along the way. She found her way to Ottawa and took a nursing job at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Through this job she met Terry, her husband of 42 years. She was a devoted wife to him and a loving mother to her son Brent.
Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by loved ones and sharing a few good laughs. Terry and Lou’s love of family found them frequently returning to Lou’s hometown of Perth, spending their summers at their cottage on Pike Lake enjoying time with family and friends.
Lou loved, and was loved by, many. When her own family members or siblings were ever in need of her nursing expertise, she would be there for them. She will be remembered as someone who genuinely cared about people and their stories. We will all miss her smile, her laughter and positive outlook on life.
