To Family of Martin O'Farrell
As friends from Grand Lake we always recall the times we had at the Grand Lake Sports Club. Both Martin and Shirley were so welcoming and fun-loving folks to be around. Martin was a man who loved his family and enjoyed life to its fullest. Once Shirley was gone from his presence, it was difficult for him to make his way forward. What a pair they were! We thoroughly appreciated knowing Martin and Shirley and send along our most heartfelt condolences at the loss you are all experiencing. We will be unable to be at Martin's service due to another event we must attend. Please know that we are with you in spirit. With caring hearts we wish you all the best as you go forward in life.

I was blessed with the opportunity, and pleasure, to have known Martin as a Grand Lake friend for many years. May he now rest in peace.

My heart hurt when I heard your dad had passed away. So many memories came rushing back. The great times on Turner Street, the spaghetti and wine Friday night dinners, the 70's music blaring from the record player in the basement, my favourite aunt Shirley Ann shaking my leg and saying "that's a nice leg", the smell of the wood stove in the basement.. and I could go on and on. No matter what age we are no matter where we are in life no one can take away our memories and the love and happiest we felt. I will always have a special place in my heart for my uncle Martin and aunt Shirley Ann and of course my cousins Christine and Kevin. The image I see now is my uncle and aunt sitting at a table in heaven eating a spaghetti dinner and toasting with one of their favourite red wines.... oh and don't forget the cheese hidden under the spaghetti (the best way to get it to melt).
I love you both and will see you this Saturday.
Your cousin
Kelly
