BÉLANGER, Marcel

1945 - 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel Bélanger on June 6, 2022, at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Eugène Bélanger and of the late Cécile Strasbourg.

He leaves behind his sister Carmen (Raymond Gagnon), his nephew Marc Marinier and his niece Sylvie Bélanger as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother André and his sister Sonia.

A Celebration of prayers will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau, Hull sector, on Monday June 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. The family will receive condolences as of 9:15. It will be possible to view the ceremony, live or by replay, by following the link: https://commemora.tv/en/diffusions/55260

For those who wish to do so, donations to l’Arche Agapée would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the personnel of the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their support and the good care provided.

I’m very sorry to find out that Marcel has passed. We had stayed in touch over the past many years, and we found a way to stay in touch even when I visited Ottawa since moving to near San Francisco, California over 20 years ago. We last spoke during the autumn of 2020 when COVID was in a terrible time. Marcel always spoke kindly of you both and I’m glad to know you supported each other through all of life’s ups and downs.
