It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Karen Coumbs at 86 years of age
Karen passed away on Sunday October 27, 2024 at Extendicare, Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
Karen was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Ida Bulmer, brothers Roy and Jack and Max, her sisters Betty and Norma.
Karen is survived by Bucky, her son Kirk (Jo-Ann), her brothers Bruce and Ted, Grandsons Kevin and Aaron (Stephonie), her great grandchildren Emery and Aurora, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who were more than just friends.
Karen was an avid golfer and curler and enjoyed her outings with her dear friends, a true animal lover, and sitting outside feeding her Chipmunks. Many of you may remember her working at Kresge's for over 35 years.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

So very heart broken to lose my good Friend of many Years, BUT she is at Peace now. So Honoured to be with her on her last few days. I will always Cherish our many Memories of over 54 years, including our Golf & Curling days, Lunch dates, and for being my Cab who picked me up to go everywhere. You will never be forgotten Karen. RIP MY Friend.

for over 59 years. Always smiling, treated her pets like babies, loved to feed

I got to know Karen through golf and we really did have a lot of laughs whether at the KL course or the few tournaments we attended. We are so sorry to hear of Karen`s passing. She always had time to say hello and remember her having fun back in the day, whether it was an Oldtimers Hockey event or at the Bellevue. We had lots of laughs over the years. Prayers and hugs to you all from our family to yours.

I saw Karen shortly before she passed as I always stopped by when I visited mom. It has always been a one way trip for everyone of us. We can only take solace in that she is in a better place. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since Karen and Kirk moved to Chaput.
