LAY LESLIE, June

1924-2014 Peacefully, after a courageous fight, June’s (Mum’s) journey ended at the Palliative Care Unit of the Magog hospital on February 13th, 2014 at the age of 89. Scottish war bride and beloved wife of the late Russell Leslie, precious mother of Heather (Keith), devoted grandmother of Andrew (Shari), and Nicolas (Fondly referred to by Mum as my Boys) , great grandmother of Savannah and Matthew, dear Aunt of Steve (Barbara);Mike (Carol; late Andrea; Joan (Frank) and Patricia (Yvon). Also remembered and sadly missed by her sister in Scotland and England, Connie, Betty and Norma, her niece Maree and nephews Colin and Gary and step-niece Barbara, as well as many other family members and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. R. Masse, the nurses and associates of the CLSC who all gave such wonderful care and attention to Mum’s needs. Also, thank you to the doctors, nurses and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit who went above and beyond the call of duty to make Mum’s final days as comfortable as possible. A spring memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers in Mum’s memory, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, 50 St-Patrice Est, Magog, Qc., J1X 3Xe would be greatly appreciated by the family.
