The Family
So sorry to hear this. Our thoughts & prayers ate with all the family. RIP Jacques.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful and proud man Jacques Ferdinand Lizotte, age 84 of Bury, Quebec. Jacques passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 24, 2022 at the CHUS Hospital in Fleurimont, following a long battle with kidney failure and heart disease.
Jacques was born on September 16 th 1938 to Roland Lizotte and Thérèse Blais in Scotstown, Quebec.
Jacques was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Deanna Harrison, his younger brother Joe and great niece Brooke Harrison.
Jacques leaves behind to mourn his sons, Shane (Cheryl) and David (Caroline), his grandchildren Dakota, Seejay, Adrian, Alex and Tommy. His great-grandchildren Emma and Grayson. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Claudette (Dale), Jeanne (Réo), Diane (Jack) and his brother Pierre (Carole), His nephews and nieces, Dwayne (Karen), Marie-Josée (Jean-François), Patrick (Christine), Audrey (Nicolas) his great nieces Courtney, Taylor, and great nephew Braedon. Last but not least, he leaves to mourn the many friends he made along the way.
Jacques always did things his way and to the best of his abilities. He owned three successful businesses, and completed his working career in sales. Whether it was work or play, he always gave 110%. This held true until his dying breath. From coaching his sons at hockey, to volunteering for countless events such as the Air Canada Cup, he gave so much of himself and influenced so many. He was a devoted husband, father, a respected colleague and faithful friend to so many.
The world lost a truly great man.
As per Jacques wishes, there will be a short graveside service at 13:00 hrs on Saturday, December 10th 2022 at the Bury Protestant Cemetery. Following the service there will be a luncheon at the Pope Memorial School, in Bury. All are welcome to join the family and share their favorite stories.
The family would like to thank the staff of the 6th floor at the CHUS Fleurimont and the Dialysis Clinic for the wonderful care given to our Dad.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
