At the Montfort Hospital, on January 31, 2025, at the age of 81, passed away Mr. Jacques Boucher, husband of the late Mrs. Irène Cheramy. Son of the late Mr. Élisée Boucher and the late Mrs. Marie-Rose Bergeron, he resided in Orléans, Ottawa, and was born in Issoudun, Quebec. Jacques was a proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He is survived by his sons: Robert (Lynn Chenette) and Richard (Nathalie Boutet) as well as his grandchildren of whom he was proud: Gabriel (Gabrielle Tremblay), Mathieu (Andy-Fay Provencher) and Éliane (Pierre-William Breau); his brother Fernand (Hélène Paré) and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Cheramy family: Yvette (late Lawrie Thibert), Paul (Kathy), Denise and John (Rosemary); not to mention his nephews and nieces from the Boucher and Cheramy families.
Jacques is also survived by a loyal circle of friends: Germain, Jacques, Ronald, Marc and Henri, as well as many friendships made over the years at the Jardin Royal, notably with Gérard St-Denis. This social network was an invaluable source of happiness for Jacques, whose every moment he cherished.
The family wishes to express its deep gratitude to the nursing staff at Hôpital Montfort for the attentive care received, as well as to the team at the Jardin Royal.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Ottawa Funeral Co-op, located at 419 St-Laurent Boulevard, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 a.m.
