It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Hind Hajjar who fell asleep in the Lord, surrounded by her family on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 89 to join her loving husband, the late Loutfi Hanna Hajjar. Hind was not only a remarkable wife, but she was also a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Devoted mother of Sanaa (Nazih Ibrahim), late Hanane (John Bergen), Nawal (Jean Moussa), Bahia (Issam Abboudy), Jean (Amal Chouery), Zahia and Amal (Ayoub Ayoub). Incredible Tata of Alisar (Tom), Nesrine (Jean-François), Iskandar (Kim), Emily (Patrick), Michael (Jie Zhen), Cassandra (Alex), Raghid (Marie-Chantal), Ghaida (Sam), Fadi (Abeer), Mazen, Bassel (Mikaela), Alain (Cassandra), André (Jemma), Jessica (Steven), Jona and Adonis and many great grand children. Cherished sister of Douraid Salloum (May Abou-Sawan) and late Riad Salloum (Laure Forzley). Beloved sister-in-law of Caroline, Sami (Georgette Ghantous), late Eugénie (late Tanos Awad), late Eveline (late Youssef Khalil), late Marie (late Michel Khalil), late Michel (Najat Abou-Arraj) and late Abdallah (Jeannette Abou-Mourad).
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at La Coopérative Funéraire de l’Outaouais, 95, boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau (Hull), followed by the burial.
In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations to St. Elias Cathedral or the CISSS (Hull Hospital) Foundation would be appreciated.
