Herbert passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023 on the palliative care unit at Hotel Dieu hospital at the age of 74 years, with his loving companion Ann Crawford by his side.
He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren : the late Stacy Giguere and his daughter Jade Fontaine, Marcia Miller (Sylvain Bienvenue) and their children Reagan and Elysia Bienvenue, Sheri Sharman and her children Jayden and Jaymie Sharman, Michael Sharman and his child Kateeri Sharman, Rebecca Sharman (Donavan Brett) and their children Dylan Sharman, Savannah and Austin Brett.
Left to mourn are his brothers Robert (Elizabeth), Victor (Lyda) and Donald (Barbara). He was brother to the late Doreen, late Thelma, late Joan, late Graham, late George (Carmen) and late Michael (Sharon). He will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces and his many music friends.

There will be a visitation on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), from 7:00-9:00 p.m., and Saturday January 13 from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Herbert would be appreciated by the family.
