Passed away suddenly at the CHUS Fleurimont on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Rona Cunnington and precious father of: Valarie (Willard), Gail (Danny), the late Brenda, Wilfred (Kimberly), Roxy, the late Randy, and the late Peggy. Loving grandfather of : Holly (Jason), Danny (Pamela), Virginia (Justin), Chad (Jenna) and Todd; and dear great-grandfather of :Brittany, Christopher, Kelsey, Samantha, Mollie and Kayleigh. Guy will also be sadly missed by his family friend Terry along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at the Advent Church in Stanstead (Beebe) Qc. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 where family and friends may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by the service . My name is Joyce Elson. My father is Carl Elson. I am not sure if you remember me, but we met when we were little girls. My family came to visit your family when I was about ten years old. We stayed with Roxy and Peggy. I remember meeting you and Guy.
Guy and my dad were pen pals for many years. I was just reading through old emails from my dad and I came across the one where he notified me that Guy had passed. My dad was hoping to go out an visit your family that Spring - sadly, on March 15, 2011, dad passed away too before he could get there. I thought I would reach out and let you know how much Guy meant to my father. I would say my dad was a good judge of character, and he loved Guy dearly. I wanted to take this time to thank your family for the love, laughter and joy that they brought to mine. I wish you and your family good health and happiness in this world that we share together.
