BENOIT, Gilles

It is with deep sorrow that we, the family and friends of Gilles Arthur Benoit. announce his passing at his home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the age of 75. He retired from farming in 1999 and then took up his self titled "caretaker" at Pete's Dam. He was a kind, gentle, generous person with deep faith. Gilles suffered with Bi Polar disease most of his adult life and as a result, was often ridiculed and misunderstood. He was predeceased by his sisters Beatrice and Helene Gilles is lovingly remembered by his brother Marcel and his 3 sisters Angeline Lantaigne, Florence Belle and Rose McDonald, also 14 nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 11am from the Sacred Heart Church. If desired, donations to Canadian Mental Health will be gratefully acknowledged.
