CHARLEBOIS, Germain 'Gerry'
1933 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Germain “Gerry” Charlebois on March 2, 2025 at the age of 91. Son of the late Léopold Charlebois and late Agnès Secours, he was the beloved husband of Lucy Rhodenizer for 68 years and the father of Joanne (Richard), Liane (Wayne) and Monica (Gates). Cherished Pappy to eight grandchildren Justin, Natasha, Jonathan, Jessica, Christine, Brittany, Amanda and Mélanie and to 13 (soon to be 14) great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Réjeanne (late Bernard) and his brother Richard (Rolande) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Roger (Estelle), Mathieu (late Thérèse) and Jean-Paul (Marie-Jeanne).
Gerry had a very successful career as an Insurance Broker for over 35 years. He was active in his community, namely as founding member of the Hull Optimiste Club and a member of the Rivermead Golf Club for over 30 years. His greatest joy was to be with family and friends, whether at home, in Florida or the cottage in Nova Scotia.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 95 de la Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard, Gatineau (Hull Sector) on Sunday April 6, 2025 at 10 am. The family will be available to receive your condolences as of 9 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerry can be made to a charity of your choice.
We would like to thank the personnel of the CISSS Hull Hospital as well as the CHSLD Lionel-Émond for the great care given to him.

So sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. I have many fond memories of Gerry, whether at his home in Gatineau, condo in Florida, our honeymoon cruise or the cottage in NS - he will sure be missed, especially at 4pm at the beach. Love, hugs and sympathy to all and see you soon

I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many childhood vacation memories with all of you. I wish i could be at the funeral service on April 6 with Dad and Sherri, and see all of you and offer my sympathy, but I am attending a wedding in Toronto area on April 5. I will be with you in spirit and remembering fondly our many Florida trips.
