Cormier, Gérard

CORMIER, Gérard

1941 - 2022

Whether you knew him as Dad, Papa or Uncle Jerry, Jerry Cormier always reminded us to not work too hard and to be kind to those around you.  It was fitting then, that he was surrounded by love and kindness when he died peacefully at home in Elk Lake, at the age of 80. He was surrounded and cared for by his spouse Debbie (nee McMahon) and family. He will be missed dearly by his children Marlene (John), Maureen, Wanda (Nyk) and Jerome; and his grandchildren Jordan (Karen), Stephanie (Jonathan), and Ty (Kira); and great-grandchildren Ella Mae, Mason, Finley and Blake. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elise Cormier, his in-laws Leslie and Mae McMahon, his siblings as well as his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws. All who knew him feel a great loss at his passing, but know that we can remember him in our acts of kindness to those around us and moments of restfulness when we let go and enjoy the moment knowing that work will wait another day for us.

To Debbie, Marlene and entire family. We are very sorry for your loss. We’ve met Gerard (Jerry) on several occasions and always were impressed by his welcoming, smiling and generous personality. His positive influence and impact on our son-in-law (Jordan) is truly evident. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
