Geneviève Wilson née Couillard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geneviève on January 25th at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of the late Gilbert Wilson and daughter of the late Jean-Marie Couillard and of the late Germaine Cloutier. She leaves behind her children : James (Olivia Baptista), Alex (Cheryl Mock), Jean-Marie (Lisa Galloway) and Caroline (Alan Forster); her grandchildren : Alexandria, Charlotte, Louis, Lance, Nicholas, Olivier, Phillippe, Félix and Mathieu. She also leaves her sister Hélène; her brother Jean (Jacqueline) and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. Predeceased by her brothers : Pierre (Hélène), François (Burthy) and Denis (late Michelle); her sisters : Marie (late Guy), Jeanne (Jim) and Louise (Claude).

The celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd in Gatineau (Hull sector).

For those who wish to do so, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Le Domaine des Trembles for their support and the good care provided.

Les enfants et les proches de Geneviève

Nos condoléances les plus sincères à vous tous. Votre mère suit d'un an, presque jour pour jour, la nôtre, Yvonne Préfontaine qui l'aimait de tout son cœur; ensemble, elles ont fondé le chœur Les Lucernairs et votre mère en fut la première présidente (pendant dix ans!) et un membre "à vie". Nos mères étaient complices dans cette entreprise qui leur permettait de s'épanouir à travers le chant chorale tout en créant des liens forts. Je ne peux qu'imaginer ce qu'Yvonne écrirait aujourd'hui au sujet de Geneviève... cela parlerait d'amitié, de soutien, de reconnaissance, de complicité et de bien plus encore.
Notre perte étant récente, nous comprenons la vôtre; nous comprenons surtout que peu importe leur âge (ou le nôtre) la perte d’une mère laisse un grand vide. Nous pensons à vous.
