GUINDON, Gaston (Gus)
With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful death of Gaston Guindon, at the age of 67
years, on Friday October 20, 2023 at Civic Ottawa Hospital.
Beloved husband of Marilyn Walker-Guindon.
Cherished son of Thérèse and the late Rhéo Guindon.
Loving father of Nicholas, Patrick and David Guindon (Bobbi Gould), his stepchildren Dawson
Raymond and David Raymond.
Proud grandfather of Alexa, Kyleigh, Charlotte, Daxon, Juliette and grandchild to be born in
early spring 2024.
Sadly missed by brother Daniel (Line) Guindon, 2 sisters: Micheline (Cléo) Castonguay, Pauline
(Harry) Sayan and sisters-in-laws: Edmonde Guindon, Audrey Bentley, Donna Walker Labine,
Brenda Walker MacIsaac, Barbara Walker Boisvert and many more relatives.
Gaston was predeceased by his first wife, Diane Rozon (1993),
his brothers: Pierre-Paul (Pete) 2015 and Michel (Mike) 2018.
A special thank you goes out to the staff on the 5th floor unit (AMA) of the Civic Campus of the
Ottawa Hospital.
In lieu of flowers , please consider a donation to the Canadian Lung Association, the Canadian
Cancer Society or the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus.
There will be no service. Internment of his ashes will be at a later date.

Marilyn I'm so sorry for your loss. Gus was quite the man. He just loved speaking to everyone
in the building he was so friendly. One thing I should mention is how often he told people
how much he loved you. He really did. Remember he is watching over you and wants you
to be fine.
May he rest in peace. May his memory be a blessing.

Marilyn and Gaston’s family,
Please accept our sympathies on the passing of our cousin Gaston. I only just learned today, Feb12, after speaking with another Guindon cousin that Gaston passed away last October.
Both my sister Suzanne (Waters) Leclair and I sent him birthday wishes on the weekend and we feel bad for that now, please accept our apologies.
If there is a celebration of life planned for Gaston, please let me know, I would like at attend as I do live in Ottawa.
