HUDEC, Frank

Those close to him announce with deep sadness the passing of Frank Hudec 1961-2025.

Frank passed away on February 4th at the age of 63, at his home in Gatineau.  Frank is predeceased by his father Joseph and his mother Cecilia (nee Strapecova).  He is mourned by his former wives Sarah Brown and Jody Hudec, and by his best friend since Grade 1, Tony Prudori, as well as lifelong friends and former colleagues in Thunder Bay, family in Slovakia, particularly the extended Strapec and Hudec families in Rusovce, Veličná and Chlebnice.

Frank was, quite simply, a meticulous soldier and a brilliant photographer, winning awards for his work with the Canadian Forces.  He was always known to set the standard, a high one that he himself would meet and exceed as an example.  Cremation has taken place.  A webcast funeral mass for Frank will be held in Thunder Bay, with date and time to be announced at http://milnews.ca. Disposition of the ashes will occur at a later date.
