DESLAURIERS, Francis

1942 - 2024

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 21, 2024 at the age of 81. Known to some as “Franny Farkle”, she loved going for walks, riding her electric scooter cart, keeping busy doing yard work, playing tv bingo and spending time with family and friends. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She was a character and a half with a great sense of humour and lived her life with optimism and acceptance of others. She was there for anyone that needed advice or a listening ear.

Survived by her siblings: Linda, Joe (Barb), Brian (Charlene) and Lorraine along with many nieces and nephews and her special friend she called her “grandson” Aaron.

Fran was predeceased by her husband Hugh, her parents Harold and Mildred Hosken, brothers Richard and Harold and in-laws Wilbert and Valerie and niece Kathy and nephews Gordon and Sabastien.

A special sincere thank you to her good friend and neighbour Aaron for providing her with friendship and kindness that brought joy to her life.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation to take place and no funeral service will be held.

In loving memory of Fran, donations made in honour of her can be made to “Advocates for Northern Animals” for her life long love for cats and dogs.
