suddenly on October 27, 2020 aged 82. Beloved husband of Judith Murillo (née Sissons) and loving father of Christopher (Annabelle Sproule), Katherine (Aaron McMullin) and Alexander. Proud Abuelo querido to Amelia, Bianca, Rumi and James. He will be greatly missed by his sisters and brother, nieces and nephews and cousins in Mexico as well as his family and friends in Africa, Latin America and Canada.

Jean Philippe’s studies in Mexico and France led him to West Africa, where as a teacher for 15 years in Burkina Faso, he began his life long career in international development. JP will be remembered for his joie de vivre, his thoughtfulness, his kind and generous heart, and his adventurous spirit that led him to travel and work around the world.

Jean-Phillippe a été notre Directeur du Centre de préparation des coopérants à l'ACDI pendant plusieurs années. Une personne très chaleureuse, qui est devenue notre ami par la suite. Il restera toujours dans mon coeur. Je vous souhaites mes plus sincères condoléances à Judith et à la famille. Il nous manquera à moi et Chuck mais les souvenirs de Jean-Phillippe et tout le bon temps passé ensemble ne pourra jamais s'effacer de notre mémoire. Bon courage

Judy et aux enfants

J’ai appris avec beaucoup de tristesse le décès de M. Jean Philippe Murillo JP. Il a été un pionnier dans le monde du Développement notamment en Afrique de l’Ouest où nous l’avons connu comme Directeur Régional de Aide à l’Enfance - Canada. Homme chaleureux et généreux, il a beaucoup œuvré pour la promotion des droits de l’enfant au Mali et au Burkina Faso. J’adresse mes condoléances les plus sincères à Judy et à ses enfants. Je garderais en mémoire tout le travail que nous avons effectué ensemble pour le bénéfice des enfants du Mali et du Burkina Faso.
