Kimmis, Ernest V. Peacefully at the IGUS, St. Vincent de Paul Pavillon, Sherbrooke, Qc on Saturday, March 12th 2005 in his 98th year, Ernest V. Kimmis, beloved husband of the late Muriel Johnson. Dear father and grandfather of Carol and her family, Kimberly Rennie (Robert Cameron) and Allyson Rennie (Denis Brunette); and Shirley and her children, Warren, Margot and Alexis Lyne. Ernest is also survived by four great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and in England. He was pre-deceased by his brother William and sister Anne. Veteran of WWll, Ernest served overseas with the RCAF, and he was also a lifetime member of the Sherbrooke Snowshoe Club. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvidere, Lennoxville, Qc Tel:564-1750/ www.casshomes.ca, where friends may visit on Friday, March 18th 2005 from 7 to 9 pm. The family will also receive condolences on Saturday, March 19th, 2005 from 1 to 2 pm at Plymouth-Trinity United Church, Dufferin Street, Sherbrooke, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with the Rev Heather MacDougall officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. As memorial tributes, donations to the Parkinson Foundation or Save the Children Fund would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff of 4-A of St. Vincent de Paul Pavillon and Drs. Marc Bezeau and Gaetan Vinette and a special thank you to his housekeeper, Manon Mongeau.
