It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Emilie E. Hérissé. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024, in the city of Gatineau (Quebec), surrounded by her loved ones.

Emilie E. Hérissé will be deeply missed by all those whose hearts she touched. She was a devoted and loving Christian, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, sense of humour, loyalty, and compassionate heart.

Thereafter, she launched a rewarding career as a schoolteacher before getting married to her late husband Destin Jean-Pierre, Lawyer, on August 27, 1963.

Emilie immigrated to Montreal on December 12, 1974 and became a Canadian Citizen on October 30, 1979.  In 1992, Emilie completed a diploma in Office Administration.

Emilie took an active part in many community events and issues, most notably fundraising events to improve the lives of Haitian orphans and other Haitians in need. She was also heavily involved in every aspect of her home church life and organized several successful, impactful and spiritual events.

Emilie enjoyed spending quality time with her family, being of service to others, educating herself, cooking, gardening, singing, exercising, playing the organ, travelling, attending concerts and much more.
