BEATTIE, Elwin

Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on Friday, November 30th 2007 in his 86th year. Son of the late John Gordon Beattie and the late Elizabeth M. Walker. Elwin was the brother of Bernice, Shirley (Ross Lockwood), the late Malcolm (Françoise Nadeau), late Doris (late Kenneth Cross), late Donald (late Thelma Faulkner), late Kenneth (Lyla Stimson), late Jean and the late twins: Hilton and Merton Beattie. Elwin also leaves to mourn his 14 nephews and nieces, 29 great-nephews and nieces, 24 great-great-nephews and nieces along with many cousins and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S. Richmond, QC Tel: (819) 826-2502 / www.casshomes.ca, where friends may visit on Wednesday, December 5th 2007 from 7 to 9PM and on Thursday from 10 to 11AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM, with the Rev. Valerie Kennedy officiating. Interment in the Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke, will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the Wales Home and the CHUS for the care given to Mr. Beattie. As memorial tributes, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Wales Home Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
