ROARKE, Donald

Passed peacefully to be with our Lord at the CHUS Hotel Dieu on Monday, July 27, 2009 after a brave battle with cancer in his 80th year. Donald will be remembered by his eldest sister, Ula (the late Bob) Hamel, his sister-in-law Mildred Roarke and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Esther, along with his elder brothers and sisters : Allen (Jeanne), Malcolm (Mildred) Reta (Herbert) Milnes and Jean. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College Sherbrooke, (Lennoxville) Qc. JIM 1T9 (819)-564-1750/ www.casshomes.ca where family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 29, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. John Barry Forsyth officiating. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Thanks go out to his dear friends who were so faithful in their visitation and to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the CHUS Hotel Dieu. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 3330 King West, Bureau 130 Sherbrooke, Qc. J1L 1C9 will be greatly appreciated by the family.
