For all the love, affection and souvenirs we will never forget
A tree is planted
in memory of the deceased
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Diane Filion Lynch,
who passed peacefully on September 8, 2024 at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband Ned, her daughter Miriam (Robert), her son Philip and her four grandchildren Gavin, Éloïse, Colin and Vivianne. Pre-deceased by her sisters Lilianne and Jeannette, she is also survived by her sisters Pierrette, Louise, Hélène, Martha and Sylvia and her brother Jean, her sister-in-law Patricia as well as her many nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Born in Arvida on May 21, 1946, daughter of Léopold Filion and Carmelle Darisse. Diane was a student at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal, a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the University of Ottawa and had a successful career in the federal public service. She lived a superb life filled with her dear husband and family, via California, Montreal, and a beautiful adventure of a few years in Australia. Diane and Ned then moved to the National Capital Region to start their family. Diane was known for her special attention to her loved ones, her unconditional love for her family, especially her grandchildren who gave her so much joy, and her passion for the arts.
She now watches over us, surrounded by the loved ones she has joined.
