MOORE, David

2014

It is with great sadness, we announce the death of David Henderson Moore on January 20th, 2014, in his 76th year. David was loved by his family and by the many friends he made over the years. He leaves behind his sons, Brian (Susie) and Jeff, and his longtime companion Rachel Huckleberry and her sons Ron (Anne), Jeff (Paula) and Greg, and was a proud grandfather to Trenten (11) and Callie (13), and was beloved brother to Pam (David) and Penny (Robert). Born on April 29, 1937, in Drummondville, Quebec, to parents, Meredith Henderson and Kathleen Margaret (Middleton) Moore, he spent his formative years in Shawinigan, Quebec. David later attended both Bishops University and the University of New Brunswick. After working for Lowney’s Chocolates and Dominion Textile, he branched off into his own business, D.H.M. Technology, where he combined his gift of personal interaction with his love of travel. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humour, and willingness to help others. He dabbled at influencing local and national political campaigns and politicians, and always had an opinion worth listening to. He never thought he spent enough time in his life at church or going fishing. ...his time has been granted at last.... There will be a service of celebration of David's life at St. George’s Church, 1002 Main St., Ayer’s Cliff, QC. J0B 1C0, at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 7th, 2014, the Rev. Barbara Wintle presiding. In lieu of flowers the Family requests donations be made to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada, http://www.savebutts.ca/ , in David’s loving memory. Online condolences may be made through http://www.casshomes.ca/
