JOHNSON, Beatrice

Beatrice Johnson Haileybury resident Beatrice Johnson died on October 27, 2009, at the Temiskaming Hospital. Born in Kerns Township to Bruce and Myrtle (nee Masters) Newton, Mrs. Johnson worked as a nurse. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Johnson; parents Bruce and Myrtle Newton; her grandsons Jeremy Karn and Robert Johnson; her sisters Kay Oster and Alma Nitchkie and brother Frank Newton. Mrs. Johnson is survived by, and was the beloved mother of, Lynda (Case) Vandewaal and Warren (Debbie) Johnson; dear grandmother of Corey (Mona) Vandewaal, Steven (Randi) Millen, Ryan Karn, Scott Karn, Dirk Vandewaal, Lindsay Vandewaal, Melissa (Mikael) Heidrich, Amanda Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister Helen Cook. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the service conducted October 31 by the Reverend Keith Edwards. Pallbearers were Corey Vandewaal, Scott Karn, Melissa Heidrich, Amanda Johnson, Dirk Vandewaal and Lindsay Vandewaal Burial is at Thornloe Cemetery. Donations to the Gideons or the Tri-Town Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Condolences and donations may be left at www.perrinfuneralchapel.com.
