My deepest sympathies to Jenn and family. I have known Barb since we were 8 years old. We lived in the same house on Carter. I never knew her brother, but I did know Christina. To all her close friends and family, she will be missed and to FB friends, no more will we see her inspiring messages. Barb, was a super person and so positive. She fought hard and never complained. Truly a hero. To all of you, heaven has gained a new Angel that will be looking over you always.

Christine, I feel it is almost an intrusion of your healing time but I had to leave this message relaying my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your mother, as she was such a great lady who put everyone else first. It was a privilege to have known her and she will be missed by one and all.

We send our deepest sympathies to Barb`s family. Barb you will never be forgotten. I`ve never met a woman who had such a wonderful sense of humor like you had. With all the struggles you had went through you still managed to pioneer through it with such power and will. You fought hard and deserve to rest with your love ones. You will be missed! Until we meet again.

Pearl and Gary Kader, July 17, 2014

While we only met once I have so many fond memories of Barb- mostly through the stories and adventures that Jenn would tell me. These stories will keep you alive in all of our hearts forever, and I know that you will be looking down on Jenn and your grandchildren from above. My deepest sympathy to Jenn and of your family. May you rest in peace.

The Webster dictionary defines a teacher as; a person that teaches something. In all honesty that sounds a bit to simple. For me a teacher not only teaches us, but those we remember and learn to cherish, teach us morals, and lessons which we don’t always want to hear, but that will guide us in the future. In my life i have been surrounded by many teachers of different subjects and lessons. Yet Barbara holds a place in my thoughts and heart i cannot conceive on letting go. I have known here sense the tender age of 7. That is now 18 long years ago. Barb, was someone of passionate attention to her students. She gave care and knowledge to thus who payed attention. Over the years, we grew as is the norm and went on to bigger and different things. Yet in my case i kept contact with her. Some part of me, knew that i had yet to learn lessons from Mrs Staszak. I learned to enjoy the small things, and also to greave with someone i respected; and yet through all her difficulties, I saw and felt something extraordinary in her. I had realized that i had been blessed to be in the presence of someone with extraordinary love and perseverance to enjoy life, and live it in its fullest. How many people in my life had i meet had that quality? Very few in all honesty. Her will of character and joy of love where toxic and in my own moments of sadness, bewilderment and questioning; she was there for me. She had never stopped teaching me. She gave me her wisdom, her kindness, her attention, her time and her love. I owe much to you Barb. More as a human then a student, and i miss you tremendously. From are talks to the wonderful one lined bird you would draw on my tests and papers you where always there for me, even when i did not know what the future had in store. I pray for you knowing you are in the best of hands, i miss you and i love you and the time i was lucky to be given in your presence. To your family; i offer you my condolences, thoughts and my affection. The same way she did to me. My family, Hernan Perez (father) and Mother (Aline Cumming) are here for you in whatever you need and don’t ever be shy to know you have someone to talk to if need be. Dios lo Bendiga Antonio Perez
