Deepest condolences to Doug and the family. I worked with Barb at Dewurst years ago, always remember her as a great person!
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our sincere sympathy in the sudden passing of Barb. I carpet bowled with her and she was always so cheerful. Our thoughts are with all of you.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Douglas, Lynzey, Kody, Vickey, and family. When I learned of Barb's passing, I felt like I had been sucker punched in the heart. Barb was a friend, but also one of my first students as a Drama teacher at Alexander Galt High School. She was a great lady and an effervescent presence in class and the theatre. In a sense, Barb was my first leading lady, playing Mrs.Stanley in a 1978 production of, "The Man Who Came to Dinner". Barb and a couple of her friends (Mhari and Siobhan) gifted Murray Head's, "Say It Ain't So" at the cast party. Barb loved the title song and so did I. I'm not yet ready, but one day I will dust off that album, and once again listen to, "Say It Ain't So". Alas, alongside happy memories, sadness will flood in...not unlike the masks that are the symbol of the theatre...and "a mirror held up to life". Rest in Peace, Barb.
My sincere condolences to the family. Barb was an incredibly kind and thoughtful woman who was extremely supportive of me and my peers' learning endeavours when she assisted with classes in elementary school. Twenty years later when I went to Bishop's University, she still recognized me and remembered my name when I visited the library.
The world has lost a beautiful soul and I wish the family peace during this time of healing.
Dear Doug, sending my deepest condolences to you and the family. Barb was amazing, so kind, funny and she had a wonderful personality. It was an honour to have known her. She embraced me as an international student working with her in the Bishop’s library and was so helpful and supportive in so many ways. She made my distance from home easier to handle. I am glad I saw her again last year and we were able to catch up after so many years away. I am saddened by this news and I pray for you and the family in the days ahead.
My sincere sympathies.
Barb’s smile and wit will always be fondly remembered.
Our deepest sympathies will never be enough to take away your pain but know Barb will always be loved and missed. She was an incredible woman
Sincere sympathies to all of you at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I can’t express how truly heartbroken I am for your family. Barb was such a remarkable woman she will be missed by so many. Hold each other close and keep her alive in your hearts.
Sending my deepest condolences to you all for the loss of Barb, Barbie & Barbie doll.
I was able to watch the lovely service and tribute to Barb on line from Tennessee.
Barb and I grew up together in the ville.
You talked about her love for Maine. We ventured down there as teenager’s - not sure how we convinced out parents , but it was the 70’s. Will at Kennebunk Beach Barb got caught in the rip tide… I ran out and coached her out of it and then pulled her to safety. Years later when I would come to town with my young son Hugh she would tell the story as if I was a super hero. She wanted Hugh to know the story. In turn it was her love for kids that made a lasting impression.
She was so very proud of you all. I am
Proud to have called Barb a friend️
