ALCIDE DANIS,

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Alcide Danis. Alcide passed away on Saturday, May 22nd with family at his side. He was predeceased by his son Alton Danis. Alcide is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nellie (McAllister) Danis. He will be sadly missed by his children Christine Danis of Whitby, Dorine (Jim) Carter and Roger (Pearl) Danis of Kirkland Lake, Ray (Shelley) Danis of Edmonton, Joseph (Marie) Danis of Windsor and Rob (Brenda) Danis of Kirkland Lake and his one sister Blanche Grey of Kirkland Lake. Alcide also leaves to mourn his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring husband and father. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the “Teck-Hughes Chapel” of the Monette & French Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. with The Reverend Edna Murdy officiating. Alcide will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Alcide’s memory may be made to the Daffodil Lodge (41 Ramsay Lake Rd. Sudbury, ON.
